CandyBar's tests with different messages to users of pirated copies of their application is very interesting.

Yes, various messages strike a chord with some users. I still don't think a message will stop the majority of pirates, but it will make some stop & think. I had no idea that the same hack would work for all apps, but I'm not into that sort of thing. I've paid for my apps and downloaded some free ones. The ones I bought were worth every penny. :)

The ones who are set on pirating, on purpose, will "bore on regardless". But many people (especially in poorer nations like here in Brazil) are sort of "cautious pirates" :-)
